Sansai (三才) is a kata developed by Seiken Shukumine in 1952, or 1953. The meaning of the name is "Three Geniuses", which refers to the former basickata Ten-i, Chi-i and Jin-i. This kata is trained by the style Genseiryu, Ryounkai and Seidokai. It must be said that Genseiryu discarded the basickata in order to mature the style and that Genseiryu's derivatives are still training the basickata Ten-i, Chi-i and Jin-i. It was Seiken Shukumine himself, who discarded these three kata.
