Shiho (四方, Shihoo, Shihou, Shiho) is a practice, which is part of the Kihon Gyogi. The first kanji (, Shi) means four and the second kanji (, Hoo, Hou, Ho) means direction. Altogether, it can be translated as "four directions". This indicates the cardinal points, north, east, south and west.

Shiho is an exercise in which a series of techniques, both defensive and offensive, are practiced in four directions.

Within Genseiryu, shiho is part of the so-called Kihon Gyogi. The Kihon Gyogi is a system that contains all Shiho and Happo.

In addition to Genseiryu, there are also other styles that train shiho, such as Ryounkai, Genwakai, etc.
